Brookstreet (couple trip)

We were extremely disappointed by the welcome and the food. They claim to be a luxury hotel, but their service is deplorable. The rooms are basic: refillable shower gel and pay TV. The family package is nothing special: a coloring book and some candy to collect yourself, along with a voucher for a coffee. I strongly advise against it for families with young children.

The location is picturesque and the hotel is beautiful, however spaces are not constructed with any regard for people who have mobility issues. It takes multiple elevator rides to get from one place to the other because elevators are not connected to all floors, and common dining areas are set up so close together it's hard to walk through even without mobility aids. overall, it’s a nice hotel. i’ve stayed in quite a few places, and you can tell there’s been some thoughtful attention to detail in the design - things like having carpet under the bed so your feet don’t hit a cold floor first thing, giving the room enough space to actually breathe, and integrating light switches and outlets into the bed frame. the finishes feel good quality too. i also really lik...
