I lived in the Niagara Region forever and only recently found this amazing place. The walks on the trails are incredibly relaxing. I absolutely love the boardwalk over the lake. Not many people here which leaves natures beauty unspoiled. Decent amount of parking and easy access from the highway.

There’s a small- medium sized parking lot with free parking. Usually this place is not too busy. You can walk a short distance towards a boardwalk along the lake. There is a lookout on the boardwalk. The boardwalk leads to some short trails along the lake. This is a great place to go for a quick stroll and catch up with a friend you haven’t see in a while.

Took my kids here for a walk and we had a blast! I love the variety of trails. You can walk along the boardwalk which had a little lookout, then walk into more wooded area and climb some of the big trees and then finally, play on the big hill. Perfect place to bring littles and keep them interested throughout the walk!

When is the best time to visit Mel Swart Lake Gibson Conservation Park (Niagara Falls, Canada)?

Spring and summer bring blooming wildflowers and active birds along the trail. Fall adds colorful foliage but cooler breezes. In winter, boardwalks may ice over—avoid visits in freezing conditions.
