Nice quaint island with some trails on the property. Makes for a nice afternoon stroll. Parking is $5 an hour which is ample time for the space. Lots of geese and ducks in the water and birds on the trails. Located across the street from the falls and rapids it makes for a nice diverse walk.
November–January: stroll the free Festival of Lights display after dusk (bring a coat, small donation CAD 5–10 suggested). Spring mornings draw active songbirds. Summer can heat up—visit before 10 AM. October shows peak fall colors along the riverbank.
