Hôtel AC Montréal Centre-Ville (solo trip)

There are so many problems with this hotel, don’t know where to begin. All small stuff, but when put together, it makes it unacceptable for this kind of hotel. When I got there, apparently their system not working so they took a photocopy of my credit card and id card!! I fully expect to have to cancel my card because someone will steal the info. The location is central, downtown and a block from subway. Can't go wrong. But, there are some major drawbacks. The room design is terrible. At least our room, there was no bathroom. There is a shower and a toilet behind separate glass partitions, and a sink out in the middle of the room but there is no bathroom. Clean room, polite and helpful staff. Convenient parking garage underneath (extra fee but reasonable for the area). Very, very slow elevators. The king room was nice, separate shower, toilet, and sink, but the toilet door didn't got all the way to the ceiling.

I had a great stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and spoke both English and French, which was very helpful. Everything was modern and spotless. When I booked, it said I’d get a high floor, and I was happy to be placed on the 8th floor out of 12 — great views and peaceful at night. Exceptional in every way. I loved my 1-week stay and did not want to leave this hotel! My room was spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. The restaurant is wonderful serving delicious meals in a beautiful presentation. The location is perfect. Highly recommend.
