What makes it 90% Baby-Friendly: Babies enter free, stroller loans, elevators, changing tables and two nursing rooms ease care, though humid rainforest zone and sudden bird calls may unsettle very young infants.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time to explore all ecosystems at baby’s pace and use baby facilities without rushing.
Self-guided ecosystem stroll:
Walk through five indoor ecosystems on wide, flat paths.
Tip: Bring or borrow a stroller and move at baby’s pace; rainforest sounds help soothe infants.
Stroller loan & baby facilities:
Borrow umbrella strollers, use changing tables and nursing rooms.
Tip: Ask at the ticket counter early for a stroller; nursing rooms are by lockers and the maple forest.
Animal enrichment shows:
Watch free feeding and enrichment demos with capybaras, macaws and fish.
Tip: Check daily show times on the Biodôme app; babies often enjoy watching moving animals.
A Close-knit Nature sensory exhibit:
Experience tactile panels and a whale immersion room.
Tip: Use this quiet space to let baby explore textures and visuals safely.

Great educational experience. I loved learning about the different animals and their environment. Definitely will be back. I recommend buying the pass to see all of the attractions including this, the planetarium and others. It’s worth it and you save money!

I really think they can do better. It’s just an ok experience. It’s not bad but keep expectations low. You won’t see a lot of the animals they show in the map. Some environments are kind of empty. They should either lower prices or better the experience.

My favourite part was the Laurentian Lakes exhibit, which is a huge dome filled with native, free-roaming ducks, beavers, otters, herons, and other birds. It was fantastic to see our local wildlife up close like that! The ice tunnel to the arctic exhibit was also pretty cool. Unfortunately, the othe...

We love the revamp of the Biodome! Everything looks fresh and thoughtfully designed. It’s such a unique experience walking through all the different ecosystems, each one completely immersive and full of life. The Tropical Rainforest and Sub-Antarctic Islands were definite favourites. From the playful monkeys and curious otters to the adorable penguins and even the bats, the aquariums, there’s jus...

Quite an unique experience. One can see animals from close and birds flying over. It’s divided in four different sections. My personal favourite is Tropical rain forest!!! If you are a nature and wildlife lover, you will love this place.
The Biodôme is climate-controlled year-round—perfect for cold winter days. Visit on weekdays or outside school breaks for fewer crowds.
