HI Calgary City Centre - Hostel (solo trip)

Nice location, train stop, superstore, drug store, Tims, all about 5 mins walk. Friendly staff, clean and comfy bed, bright and clean kitchen. If your room faces to the train side, it may be a little bit noisy till 1am when the trains are passing, overall, good hostel to stay for exploring Calgary, recommend!!

Good people, beds and facilities were decent. Breakfast is nice but very basic, just bread butter, jam and juice/coffee. Located a bit off the center which isn't ideal. Stayed in late Aug.

Nothing like sleeping in an institution. Well, an institution with a great kitchen. An okay hostel, zero vibes, very hospital like. Does have a theatre room which is unique. Bed was good but this trip I struggled with 2 dorm mates who thought it was fine to pack, unpack, look for items, set an electric razor off....all at 4am. Very little sleep. Overall, a disappointing hostel but does the trick.

Stayed in the 6 bed female dorm. Reasons why I rated my hostel stay poorly: - The bathrooms: there are female and male shared bathrooms and it didn’t feel secure as there was no lock/swipe card access to these areas nor the showers themselves; it was basically open to anyone to walk into.
