DoubleTree by Hilton Calgary North (couple trip)

Came to this place as it has decent ratings and included breakfast. It was shortest place to the zoo and science center. This could have been any hotel though. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The Front Desk employee who helped me during check-in was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I forgot her name, but she was working on the evening of August 21. Breakfast was also good.

I booked a room at this hotel but was unable to stay due to a sudden medical emergency involving my child. Despite notifying them through Hotels.com and explaining the situation, the hotel refused to issue any refund — even though I never used the room, water, or any services. The whole building vibrates and it transfers into the bed/headboard. Its not significant but if you put your hand on the wall you can feel it. Definitely at night when you're sleeping you can feel it. Its close to airport and freeway but nothing else. Its OK clean but has a more significant "hotel smell" than most.

My home away from home!!! I spend 5 nights at this hotel every 5 weeks. It's honestly like coming home. The beds are comfy. Towels fluffy. In room amenities are 5 star. But the best part... the staff. From the wonderful front desk, to the sweet room attendants, to the restaurant staff, the lounge staff, the shuttle drivers, the maintenance guys that you always see making stuff better.
