The Laugh Shop (solo trip)

New Years show with headliner Dana Gould. Venue good. Food very good. Opening host really funny. Dana Gould as the headliner did not go over well. He even admitted that he was hearing crickets. He missed the mark with the audience by spending the first half of his show on American politics and California fires.

The shows are amazing, and most of the staff are decent, minus the couple of power-tripping Karens who kept walking over to our table like they were auditioning to be the “Laugh Shop Police.” Apparently, we even got a “warning” from the floor captain 🙄. The talent we saw perform was phenomenal and made us have a great time but the food situation is abysmal. Would strongly recommend eating somewhere else before coming here. Not only is the food quality poor but portions for some items are very small. Many bars and restaurants charge $25-30 for nachos but at least you get a large platter. Here you only get a small plate. Always a blast coming to shows here. Food is surprisingly really good with lots to choose from (we had their tempura shrimp and flatbread pizza), drinks are solid and there's plenty of seating with good views even for sold out shows.
