Positives:

  • Free Baby Facilities: All washrooms have baby-change tables; mothers’ rooms and family rooms are free.
  • Stroller-Accessible Paths: Paved, tree-lined routes make it easy to push a stroller around the Park.

Challenges:

  • Loud Shows: Rodeo and fireworks areas can startle a baby; stick to quieter zones.
  • Crowded Midway: Busy rides area may be hard to navigate with a stroller during peak hours.

The Calgary Stampede this year felt overwhelmingly crowded, making the experience less enjoyable for many attendees. The lines for rides were excessively long, often requiring waits up to an hour or more. Additionally, ride prices have noticeably increased compared to previous years.

Definitely an event you should attend if on when visiting. People are friendly like a carnival event. Went on the last weekend was very busy but did enjoy the event worth going.

The rides prices have increased in the last few years since Covid. One ride can be $10 if you don’t buy a bigger ticket pack. You can get a wristband with all day access for $60 which is probably worth it if you plan to spend all day at the fair. Fireworks go off at 10:50PM best view area is in the children zone. We rode the Ferris wheel right at 10:50PM and got the most amazing views. The main a...

Nice event this year! One thing I’d suggest improving is how the event schedules are communicated. It would be helpful to have screens showing real-time updates for the events you want to attend. I was using the printed schedule available at the info booth, but some events didn’t match the posted times, and a few were even canceled. I ended up wasting time that I could’ve spent enjoying other attr...
