What makes it 74% Baby-Friendly: Paved paths and shaded lawns are stroller-friendly and playground has quiet nooks, but no confirmed nursing room and change tables are scarce, so bring mat and plan around weather.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time to stroll, play, picnic and swim without rushing.
Riverside stroller walk:
Push your stroller on the paved Bow River pathway under shaded trees.
Tip: Start at the main parking lot and follow the riverside loop for a calm ride and nap spots.
Inclusive playground:
Let baby watch siblings on ramped structures, tandem swings and musical panels.
Tip: Arrive early to find quiet nooks and extra shade near the play units.
Picnic with change facilities:
Use free picnic tables, fire pits and nearby seasonal washrooms with change areas.
Tip: Reserve a picnic site online at no cost or bring a portable changing mat for washroom gaps.
Family swim at aquatic centre:
Join a family swim where preschoolers swim free and adults pay a drop-in fee.
Tip: Check the Calgary Parks website for public swim times and pack infant floatation gear.

Probably the best and the safest playground I've ever seen in Alberta. My kids love this playground; they can spend up to 3 hours nonstop playing until we ask them to stop. The design, the colour, the variety, and some educational parts, such as the Braille alphabet, are unique. Highly recommended!!

It is a nice place for kids and adults. I took my family in July. I feel that it has good options for kids, but not that awesome place. I would rather be in edworthy park. If you are a bow river fan than it has nice spots to sit and enjoy the river. I loved that it has tennis courts open to public and really well maintained

Lovely park. Great place to visit with kids or to just relax. There's plenty of picnic tables to rest at right next to the river.

We had a church BBQ here and it was a blast. Great view of the Bow river and rafts, a basketball court, a playground for the kids with several fun things to do. If you want to do a family picnic, this is a good place to come. Lots of parking also.

Shouldice park is big park. To many thing to do there once you in, u can boating , biking, basketball, many picnic tables and also beautiful play ground for the kids. the place clean. Peoples can bike or walk the old bridge made by the wood. It’s amazing. Kids can play the side of lake.
Washrooms and water fountains open Victoria Day to Thanksgiving. Paths and playground remain open year-round, but bring warm layers after October.
