What makes it 70% Baby-Friendly: Stroller-friendly paving, shaded benches and accessible washrooms with change tables support babies, yet no private nursing room or indoor infant play area means stays may need to be brief.
Why 2–3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for a relaxed stroller walk, bench breaks and a library visit
Stroll on stroller-friendly paths:
All paved walkways are smooth and level, circling the park under mature trees.
Tip: Bring a sunshade for the stroller and pause at benches every few minutes
Have bench breaks for feeding or changing:
Formal benches under shade offer a quiet spot to nurse or change diapers.
Tip: Use a portable changing pad and pack wipes in an easy-access bag
Visit Memorial Park Library’s children’s area:
The library has soft seating and picture books for babies.
Tip: Check library hours online before you go and arrive early for best seating
Use washrooms with baby-change tables:
Single-user accessible washrooms include fold-down change surfaces and an attendant program.
Tip: Find them in the park’s northwest corner (320 13 Ave SW) and note seasonal hours

Central Memorial Park is right in downtown Calgary and easy to get to. The park is clean and well-kept, with plenty of benches and walking paths. The monuments and historical markers add some character, making it an interesting spot to explore. It’s a nice place to take a break, enjoy a quick stroll, or take some photos while downtown. Can get a bit busy at peak times, but overall, it’s a convenie...

Beautifully decorated with colorful flowers. There are a couple of nice statues and water fountains. It's not too big but there are a bunch of gravel trails for walking. Beautiful downtown spot!

Went for a night market. It was great, there was live music and lots of tables to buy from even sweets if you have a sweet tooth.

Nice and relaxing spot for a quick walk or a quick glance at the city. Not extremely hard to find street parking across the block but be aware the place is usually a hangover spot for a lot of homeless people. Although they never seem to bother any visitors. Usually security keeps an eye close by (sometimes)
In summer, bring sunscreen and a stroller fan. In winter, dress baby in warm layers and watch for icy patches on paths. Library hours offer an indoor break.
