What makes it 56% Kids-Friendly: Older children can toss a ball to the family dog and learn from interpretive signs, yet parents must supervise closely because unfamiliar off-leash dogs and the lack of play structures reduce safety.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Enough time for kids to explore the boardwalk, play with the dog, and learn without losing interest.
Gravel Loop Trail:
Walk the 5-acre gravel loop off-leash area.
Tip: Enter through the double-gated entrance and bring water for everyone.
Digging Pit Play:
Let your dog dig in the fenced digging pit while kids watch.
Tip: Pack a towel for muddy paws and supervise children on nearby benches.
Boardwalk Nature Trail:
Stroll the raised boardwalk and read interpretive signs.
Tip: Challenge kids to spot local birds and plants as you go.
Dog Trick Practice:
Use the circular training rings to teach the dog simple commands.
Tip: Bring treats and keep at least 2 m from other users when practicing.
Hill Viewpoint:
Climb the small hill near the entrance for a park overview.
Tip: Look out for muddy patches in spring; wear shoes with traction.

Lots of room to run the dog. A few parh options to mix up the pattern if you want to change things up. Quite a few dogs there during most times but the amount of space allows the dogs to run freely very easily. Lots of parking. Gated and fenced.

It’s a good size for a dog park, has some training spots and benches to relax. Upon entry you get a welcome info board and from there dirt paths going around in various ways. Kind of a large circle with some criss crosses. I went in the rain which I wouldn’t recommend as it’s just mud. It’s a fine park space for under power lines and dogs seem to like it. Massive parking area where you sometimes...

This is a great dog park for medium to large dogs. We took our 4 month old little boy but he was a little intimidated by all the big dogs running around. It is a fair size place with lots of parking.

Auburn Bay Dog Park is a fantastic spot! It's big, clean, and well-maintained, offering plenty of space for dogs to run and play. We take our dog there all the time, and he loves it. It's a great community park where dogs and owners alike can enjoy themselves. Highly recommend!

Great space and paths. Great location. Only 3 stars though as its badly maintained. The parking lot is often a mud pit, not paved and little to no gravel. There are many areas with no grass (just dirt, or mud) needs to be reseeded. Dog is a dirty mess after most visits. Also watch out for foxtails.
Spring: wear boots for mud; summer: pack sunscreen and extra water; winter: watch for icy spots and keep dogs warm.
