What makes it 67% Baby-Friendly: Stroller-friendly asphalt and shady picnic lawns suit babies, but there are no park changing rooms, and ferry steps or muddy side trails make some areas hard with an infant.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for a lakeside walk, picnic, and a snack break at a park café without rushing.
Stroll the paved lake loop:
Push your stroller on the smooth 6 km asphalt path around the lake.
Tip: Start near the Patinoire entrance to follow flat terrain and avoid muddy sections.
Picnic on lakeside lawns:
Set up under mature trees on the Pelouse des Anglais beside the water.
Tip: Bring a small blanket and snacks; choose a spot close to benches for easy breaks.
Snack break at park cafés:
Grab coffee and pastries at Le Flore or Woodpecker kiosk.
Tip: Order early to secure a seat and use café restrooms to change or feed your baby.

It was a peaceful park. It's a very enjoyable place to walk around and relieve stress. It's perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city 🤩🤩

Amazing we loved it here. We rented Lime scooters just outside the park. They add a speed restriction inside the park for the safety of pedestrians but there is still very wide roads for bikes scooters and roller skates. Most of the inside of the park is blocked off to cars. Lively: there was a zumba class boxing class and bar.

Bois de la Cambre – Brussels, Belgium 🌳🇧🇪 Visited this beautiful and lush green park in 2019 with my family, and it was truly a peaceful escape in the heart of Brussels. Bois de la Cambre is spacious, clean, and perfect for relaxing, walking, or enjoying a picnic with loved ones. The natural beauty, fresh air, and quiet surroundings make it a wonderful spot for families and nature lovers. We ...

It's a lovely park. Its rating might be higher if there weren't so many runners, joggers, dog walkers, and rollerbladers. Even on a Saturday morning at 10:00 AM, the park, despite its size, was quite crowded. A solution, similar to that of Cinquantenaire Park, might be to designate specific areas for different activities, so that everyone can enjoy the park without disturbing others.

It was great ! Lucky with the wether, had a very delicious waffles and ice cream from a cute Turkish man’s pick up, had our time chilling on the grass, watched a family of ducks dwelling around the lake, no cars, no gas …👍
On summer weekends part of the lakeside path is car-free, giving extra space for strollers. In early spring, trees bloom along the loop but paths can be wet—pack a rain cover.
