What makes it 85% Solo-Friendly: The friendly bartender, varied Belgian beer list, pool tables, and safe central location give solo guests plenty to do and people to meet, though it remains a straightforward pub without cultural exhibits.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Enough time to sample beers, play a round of pool, and chat with locals.
Sample a beer flight:
Try 3–4 small pours of Belgian ales to compare flavors.
Tip: Ask the bartender for recommended pairings to explore new styles.
Join a pool game:
Play on semi-private tables upstairs.
Tip: Go before peak hours to find an open table or team up with other guests.
Bar seating people-watch:
Sit on a high stool for a view of the pub’s lively crowd.
Tip: Arrive early evening to catch locals winding down after work.
Order a late-night snack:
Grab a pub-style pizza slice or fries from the late menu.
Tip: Snack when the beer buzz hits; pizzas are served until closing.

Great beer (great beer!), staff fab and atmosphere really friendly. Lovely pub with so much choice of beers. Visited as a tourist but almost wish I could live here to come every week. If you visit you will enjoy

Nice little bar right on the outskirts on the main square. Lots of local bets on tap as well booths, cans and spirits. Bar tender was very engaging and helpful with selecting the right beer for us. Enjoyed sitting outside on the patio and people watching. Inside there are tvs and pool tables as well.

The bartender was the sweetest nicest guy! He remained calm when the place filled up pretty quick with the Scotland soccer, I mean football team! The pizza was delicious! The beers… so many to choose from! The vibes were incredible! Everyone was so happy and so nice! Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area visiting!
In summer, reserve a spot on the outdoor terrace. In winter, enjoy the heated interior and busy pool tables without a wait.
