Mercure Antwerp City South (couple trip)

It has beautiful ambience. Rooms are really nice,spacious,has good facilities as mentioned on their website. Food is really good. I got to eat rice and curry here which is normally not served as frequent as in other hotels.

We have stayed here 2 nights. We arrived by car so it was nice that hotel had a parking space but the parking cost was a bit steep (20 euro per night). With regard to the location - good, very accessible to the city center by tram and the area itself is quiet and safe. Unlike the lobby which is modern and renovated, the room we received was old. Martin was AWESOME and super informative. Most of the staff went above and beyond their duties to make us feel welcome and informed. The room was cleaned even when we didn’t need it to be and small details were not overlooked. We stayed here for 7 days to attend a convention, and it was a wonderful experience! The staff is very polite and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and luxurious. The breakfast buffet is over the top, and the wait staff do a great job handling such large crowds during the morning rush!! We were horrified when a mouse ran across the dining room at breakfast. I immediately told the staff in the breakfast room and they didn’t care at all, they were very dismissive. So we also told the reception desk staff who were more apologetic and later said they had phoned pest control.
