Hotel Docklands (couple trip)

I spent last weekend at this hotel. Reception staff very friendly, helpful. Although I was 3 hours before check-in my room turned out to be ready and I was able to leave my luggage in it and make myself comfortable. Room very spacious with opening windows, clean and cosy. Excellent service and friendly staff. Breakfast was great. Balcony on room was a nice touch. My only gripe is that The rooms are very very small and the en-suite bathroom is really tiny so much so that you can’t even towel off properly after using the shower.

Referring to room 404 during a heatwave: decent room and bathroom, excellent bed, reasonable view over neighbouring roofs and western skyline (afternoon sun!). Very clean and well maintained. The sidewalk outside hotel not clean and entrance to hotel unappealing. Rooms and corridors don’t smell fresh. Overall the hotel needs refreshing of paint work, lighting and general decor. Bed and pillows uncomfortable, so slept very badly. Room door had damage on the inside panel which was somewhat disconcerting. Room safe at bottom of wardrobe under a shelf so hard to access. The Good: The situation of the hotel is good. Neighbourhood is quite calm, no big traffic on the street directly in front of the hotel. Old Town is a 30 minute walk away and several pubs and restaurants are a five minute walk away. Check in and check out are possible to do online. Room key is with your mobile phone.
