What makes it 53% Baby-Friendly: Paths are smooth for strollers and many benches allow feeding breaks, but toilets lack changing tables, no nursing room or bottle-warming, so caretakers must improvise or leave early.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: The garden’s compact, paved layout lets families cover highlights at a baby-friendly pace.
Paved Path Stroll:
Push the stroller along flat, paved paths past labeled flowerbeds and shady trees.
Tip: Plan a slow pace to match your baby’s nap or feed schedule.
Pond Wildlife Spotting:
Pause by the kikkerpoel pond to watch frogs and small fish in clear water.
Tip: Bring a lightweight blanket to sit on a bench while your baby watches the water.
Shady Bench Break:
Use benches under large trees to feed or change your baby.
Tip: Carry a portable changing mat for on-the-go diaper changes.

A quiet oasis in the middle of the city 🐠🐟🌳🌳🪻🌹🌿—perfect for a peaceful walk, reading a book, having a picnic with friends, listening to birdsong, taking little ones to watch the fish, or simply quieting the mind.

Tiny garden - an oasis of peace and calm in the middle of the city. Lovely place to read, enjoy nature, calm down and recharge.

Beautiful place to stroll or relax while in the middle of Antwerp. I discovered it while checking out the Botanic Sanctuary Hotel which is right next door. I was especially impressed by the Antony Gormley sculpture installation on the grounds. Well worth a visit if you happen to be in the area.

Relaxing tiny oasis with precious exotic plants and trees, well kept and with intersting explanation boards. Next to a snack-bar with terrace and beautiful 5* hotel in a renovated antique building. The whole area is worth a visit. The nice weather allowed for some figs to grow, and if September will be nice, they may even ripen. Nice benches to sit around. No entrance fee.
Spring brings peak blooms; summer mornings are cooler; autumn shows colorful leaves. Avoid the midday sun in July and August.
