What makes it 43% Kids-Friendly: Kids may take paid lessons in the shallow instruction pool, yet there are no slides or play areas and lifeguards stop games, so most children tire of strict lap rules.
Note: Olympic swimming center Wezenberg is 43% Kids-Friendly. You may want to consider other Kids-Friendly Things to Do in Antwerp for a more suitable experience.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Enough time to swim in both pools, attend a lesson, and change comfortably.
Beginner Pool Fun:
Use the instruction pool (0.4–1.1 m deep) for safe swim play under adult supervision.
Tip: Bring your own floatation aids; no slides or splash features available.
Kids’ Swim Lessons:
Join Antwerpse Zwemschool’s 5–10 session courses for ages 3–12 in the instruction pool.
Tip: Book on the Antwerpse Zwemschool website weeks ahead; arrive 10 minutes early.
Family Lap Swim:
Swim together in the 50 m Olympic pool during public lap hours.
Tip: Check lap swim schedule online; older kids can practice strokes alongside parents.

A bit crowded, but with plenty of lanes...I only wish the hair dryers were a bit stronger — excellent for saving energy, but not ideal when you have long hair. Otherwise, a great place for a solid swim.

Great swimming pool, but it gets extremely busy. I feel lucky when there are fewer than seven swimmers per lane. Many swimmers lack any basic courtesy and common sense, e.g., fast freestyle swimmers enter the lane where everyone else is doing breaststroke and vice versa. Towards the end of the day, bathrooms tend to be quite dirty. I think most of the problems with the pool would be fixed if users...

The infrastructure has improved a lot. The water temperature is perfect now. Staff is friendly and helpful. When on vacation in Antwerp i love doing my swim workout here.

Nice place, a bit too many people (avg 4 swimmers each lane). On Sundays both pools are available. It would be nice if on weekends they followed the full time schedule I.o. Closing at 13:00

Its a very good sport complex with classes for every age, gym and All-you-can-eat restaurant at the back of the building. Price for adults for swim is 4€/h (6€ for non resident)
Water temperature stays constant year-round, but summer weekends fill up quickly; try weekday mornings.
