What makes it 76% Kids-Friendly: Kids can crawl on tilted floors, watch 3D screens, and learn brain tricks; under-7s are free, staff assist, but tight stairs, no stroller area, and sensory overload need close supervision.
Why 1–2 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Kids will enjoy most illusions without feeling rushed and you can move at a fun, unhurried pace.
Anti-Gravity Room:
Walk on the ceiling and walls in a flipped-perspective space.
Tip: Let each child try different poses and ask staff for the best camera angles.
Shrinking Room:
Stand at marked spots to look giant or tiny next to oversized furniture.
Tip: Place the younger child at the ‘giant’ spot so both kids fit in a single frame.
Reversed Fountain:
Watch water flow upward in a gravity-defying installation.
Tip: Record a short video to show the illusion in motion—it wows everyone.
Tilted Room:
Lean against slanted floors and walls to create dramatic photos.
Tip: Hold hands with kids to steady them on the slope and capture fun group shots.

First and foremost dank u to Magalie one of the staff for taking all the pictures for me as a solo traveler and thanks to her co worker to help me get started as well!! I had an amazing experience at this museum so worth it and no wait time. Hidden gem due to the small sign in the front easily to walk past it if you’re not paying attention. Dank u Magalie for some local recommendations!! 😊

We have enjoyed this place so much. The staff were friendly. Illusions were cool. You should go here, too. Andelon was a great guy. He deserves a raise. The only thing missing was a sign saying "vriendschap", which, according to Het Goede Doel is also an illusion.
Visits are busiest during Belgian school holidays and weekends. Go on a weekday morning, especially outside summer break, to avoid lines.
