What makes it 69% Kids-Friendly: Kids love moving dinos, horse shows and pet fairs hosted here, while barrier-free halls fit strollers; still no fixed play zone or child toilets, so parents must plan ahead.
Why 3-4 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Enough time to browse markets, join a workshop, and explore a mini-exhibition without rushing.
Winterzauber outdoor market:
Stroll the festively lit open-air market around Marx Halle.
Tip: Let kids run safely among stalls; try hot punch and roasted chestnuts at food kiosks.
Designmarkt Edelstoff:
Browse local designers in Studio 1 and join free craft workshops.
Tip: Pick up a free kids’ craft kit and arrive at workshop start times to secure seats.
Königreich der Dinosaurier:
Explore Europe’s largest moving-dino exhibition with interactive dig pits.
Tip: Download tickets early to skip lines and bring a small bag for bone-finding tools.

I quite enjoy visiting this place. The place is ideal for expositions and parking nearby is also very easy.

The titanic exhibit was real cool and worth the visit. The staff are ridiculously unfriendly, incompetent and unprofessional which honestly affects the experience. The Metaverse experience is worth booking on top, was real fun.

I visited the dinos with a 3 years old boy. I gave just four stars because it was good. I already visited some dinos parks and certainly it is a better one, but after this marketing I thought it was different in a better way plus for us, it was too early to visit such a place. I did not recommend it for a 3/4 years old although all kids are different. A lot of dinos are quite big even for an adult...

A huge commercial space that can be remodeled to serve any needs. I have been there to corporate parties, concerts, themed markets, cultural events... the biggest plus is its huge, flexible, and there is space for parking. The main minus is that it is not so easy to access by public transport.

It was a nice place to have a festival. Last week we joined the UN charity festival. We could go around the world in one place. It was an interesting experience.
Visit in winter (Dec–Jan) for the magical Winterzauber market and moving-dino show. In spring and summer, check Marx Halle’s calendar for family fairs and open-air events.
