What makes it 56% Baby-Friendly: Lifts and ramps welcome strollers and under-6s are free, but changing tables are unconfirmed, no nursing room exists, and large prams may be stored, so parents must plan feeds and carries.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time to browse exhibits at a relaxed pace and take breaks for feeding and stroller rests.
Barrier-free museum tour:
Use ramps and lift to move your stroller easily through historic and modern rooms.
Tip: Enter via the main entrance ramp and ask staff for free wheelchair or stroller support if needed.
Self-guided exhibit walk:
Explore three centuries of imperial furniture up close.
Tip: Download the museum map on your phone to plan short sections and rest periods.
Café feeding break:
Take a pause in the on-site café with quiet seating.
Tip: Bring a bottle warmer and ask staff to reheat water; plan snack stops between galleries.

An impressive collection of furniture from 1800 to 1950. Really quite and well maintained. It deserves a visit.

This was my favorite museum in Vienna, who could have thought this place turned out to be a memorable one. It was a pleasure to look at furnishings from centuries ago, I was intrigued to learn more about Empress Elisabeth of Austria, after viewing her painting. There is even a TV series about her.

I really liked this museum. Usually when you go to palaces you only see the furniture that the curators of the exhibitions choose. Here you have the opportunity to see a very wide variety of furniture. It was very interesting and very beautiful - highly recommended

I found the museum quite interesting since I’m into furniture and interior design. Still, I wouldn’t really recommend it to everyone - the topic is a bit too specific. The ticket includes an audio guide, though.

I happened upon this museum because it was part of the Sisi pass. I would not have thought to visit here had it not been included - and that is probably why they did. I enjoyed this collection much more than anticipated because the museum is more than just about pretty pieces to sit on. During the glorious reign of the Hapsburgs, they occupied several residences and these were not fully furnished...
In summer, stay after your visit for free open-air cinema and milonga in the courtyard. In winter, head straight to the café for a warm drink.
