Hotel Villa Carlton - Adults Only (solo trip)

This is a beautiful hotel, located very close to the river. Staff is very friendly, Andy was very helpful. Decor is eclectic. It is quiet and has a great atmosphere. Breakfast was simple but they had great coffee.

It was a great stay in this well located hotel. If there was one comment I’d say the lighting in the room, it is very dark at night even with the lights on. Apart from that, the room size is great, the mattress very comfortable, the bathroom a good size, air conditioning and plenty of space for clothes. Our room also had a balcony which was a bonus.

Well kept hotel. Large room with nice bathroom. A 20 minute walk to old town but free transport pass is provided by hotel so a bus can be taken instead. Only challenge for us was the subpar air conditioning. At street level it was load with the windows open which made us reliant on a less effective mini split.

We stayed in the tower room which had a partial view of the river. We found the size of the room quite comfortable although the bathroom was a bit tight but workable. The overall stay was pleasant. The hotel is about a 5-15 minute walk from all the places and the walk gives you a good feel of the city. It’s a romantic boutique hotel which focuses more on intimacy and privacy.
