Hotel Scherer (couple trip)

We liked the hotels location, very close to the central train station. Close to the river and historical sites. However, the room in which we stayed was very small for three people and the wooden door seperating the room from bathroom was problematic. When you use the bathroom or the toilet, all steam and bad smells come into the room. Breakfast was nice. Staff was good.

This is an excellent hotel on walking distance from the railway station. It's a classic family run hotel with friendly servive. My room was comfortable and I liked the bright lights especially in the clean bathroom. And what a treat to have a radio in the bathroom and have classical music while showering. A top 4-star hotel that has been recently renovated. Very nice! Breakfast is excellent and they have parking. The staff is so accommodating!

Great family owned independent hotel. Easy to get to the Historic Center, catch bus # 23. Your cel phone can tell you where and how. Mrs. Michaela, the Reservations Mgr. is very professional and kind, so is Joseph at the Front Desk, the lady that sets up Breakfast is so kind and helpful, and the housekeepers, all wonderful staff. A year-long planned trip was cancelled due to their complete lack of response to any attempt at communication. I originally booked a room at this hotel in July 2024 for a stay from July 7 to 13, 2025. However, on July 3rd at midnight, the payment was not processed due to a problem with my card.
