Dorint City-Hotel Salzburg (with kids)

We were sceptical at first at first as we noticed polarising reviews. Happy to share that we had a lovely stay and a very nice room! Room was good and new (with spacious bathroom), breakfast was great, there's also a nice gym with weights and sauna. Location is walkable to old town and to train station.

Overall - Enjoyable Notable: Decent wifi. Aircon wasnt good. Non adjustable mini bar fridge. Only cold water/ice at bar. Sauna was excellent. Gym had several cardio machines, cable machine and dumbbells to roughly 40kgs. Staff spoke english. Decent hotel and good for a visit to Salzburg. Location is not as convenient as others to the train station or old town, but it’s not too far and we enjoyed seeing a different part of the city. Only major disappointment was the gym only being open until 10. Would be nice to see later hours.

the hotel is a little bit dated but the overall experience was very good. we got the room at the back of the building so we got the garden view and bird chirping. the location was good for us as we like walking. the hotel is located 15 minutes by foot from the train station. the price is very affordable and the staff is friendly.
