Altstadt Hotel Stadtkrug (solo trip)

This Hotel is in a very central location. The rooms are reasonably big n comfortable. The Breakfast Buffet has enough variety n that brekky juice is divine. The staff are very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel for its location n proximity to the Old Town n Mirabell Gardens.

We had a very nice stay, here. We had the comfort apartment with ac, and it was A LOT of room. One bed in a separate bedroom with its own bathroom and a double bed in a HUGE room with its own bathroom. Also, a kitchenette with a small breakfast table. It was right in the center of shops, restaurants and pubs. Walking distance to everything! Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Salzburg.

Pros: Comfortable beds, great shower, nice room amenities, friendly staff, walkable location to great parts of town, continental breakfast. Cons: pretty far off-site parking, with only a 2 euro discount/night, leaving it at about 18 euros/night. Limited continental breakfast--no sausage, bacon, or other hot protein options. Stairs in the hotel that you have to maneuver with your luggage.

We rented the family apartment, which is two bedrooms with bathrooms, a kitchen/dining area, and a living room. It was a wonderful place with a great central location and friendly staff. While there is an elevator, it isn't completely wheelchair accessible.

We definitely enjoyed our stay! The rooms were comfortable and had the best A/C we have had on our European trip so far. We also ate at the restaurant and took advantage of the free breakfast. Both were good and the service was excellent.
