Have been to many attractions around the globe, and I have to say this place is the best! Super well done, the tour was wonderfully explained by the guide Alex in this photo. He was also very friendly to all the visitors and that made a difference from the unfriendly people we encountered in Vienna. Also the little salt souvenir at the end of the tour was such a thoughtful gift for visitors. P...

Great experience and amazing tour. A must visit place when you are in salzburg. Great walk through of how mining evolved and lot of cool facts. The train and short boat ride inside the mine is a cool experience for kids. The slide inside the mine is highly recommended. It was very fun.

When is the best time to visit Salt Mine (Salzburg, Austria)?

The mine stays around 10 °C year-round—bring a light jacket. In summer, book early tours to avoid afternoon heat above ground.
