Why 3-4 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Enough time for workshops, concerts and chill-out breaks without overloading kids.
Kinderfestival:
Family fair with 70–100 child-and-family brands, hands-on workshops, chill-out area and goodie bags.

Took my family there for Level up. Level up was fun, but the past 2 years were better. This year when you walked in you were not wowed by the main stage. It was hidden away sadly. The cosplay stage was horrible. It was over crowded with not enough seats. With everyone standing no one could see the cosplay properly.

Can't say much for the building itself as it's hired out for expos but I can say the staff are friendly and the centre is really well positioned in town and easy to get to

Check the official event calendar before your trip. Kinderfestival usually runs in spring, while family concerts appear in autumn.
