What makes it 74% Kids-Friendly: Kids enter games free, enjoy mascot meet-ups, face painting, and cheap skate rental with learning aids. Fast play, sirens, and scarce stroller parking mean parents must supervise closely.
Why 2–3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows time for the Kids’ Fan Park, the hockey match, and a quick stop at the Bullshop without rushing.
EC Red Bull Salzburg Hockey Game:
Catch a home match in the ICE Hockey League, usually Sundays at 3 PM.
Tip: Buy adult tickets (€15) online in advance. Sit in the family section near the main grandstand to avoid the loud fan curve.
Kids’ Fan Park:
Enjoy free games, face painting, and a mini football pitch 90 minutes before puck-drop until first intermission.
Tip: Arrive early on designated theme days (e.g., Wings for Life Day) to join face-paint stations before crowds form.
Public Ice Skating Session:
Skate indoors or on the covered outdoor track from October to early March.
Tip: Book a 10 AM session. Rent skates (€3.70) and grab a free skating-aid frame for younger children at no extra cost.
CheckerBande Kids Club:
Annual membership for kids up to 14 with mascot meet-and-greets and autograph events.
Tip: Sign up online before your visit to get a free birthday ticket and 10% off at the Bullshop.

Average ice stadium, ok seats, bit cold in winter as expected. Been twice to watch ice hockey - Red Bulls and alles gut.

I was passing by and the team was training so the stadium was open to check. Very nice premises and looked cool. Despite not being into ice hockey this make me want to watch a game

As an icehockey fan I was able to visit a game of the EC Red Bull Salzburg!!! I don"t know if it was because of the time of the year with Santa Claus or wether they are the mascottes of the Bulls but there were a lot of Krampus figures around and on the ice!!!

We went to a game during a recent trip from the U.S. to Austria. It was a fun atmosphere and we saw a great game. We would definitely go back!

What a great atmosphere. Unfortunately the team didn't win but everyone was still upbeat. No long queue which is always good. Lovely friendly lady at the gate. Had a great time.
Ice hockey season runs September–March. Public skating is open October–early March. Check the club calendar for special theme Sundays with free Kids’ Fan Park events.
