Gorgeous views from the cable car and there are so many hikes to do from the top, including the Zirbenweg and various mountain peaks. You can get the Zirbenweg ticket that lets you go up on this cable car and go down on the Patscherkofelbahn.

We’re staying close to this cable car and we used it to get up to the Stone Pine path with magnificent views of the Tyrol valley. The same tickets that took us up were used to get down at Patscherkofel Cable Car. The only nit was getting back to Tulfes as there’s no direct bus. We went into Innsbruck on the J and came out on the 540. There were 2 restaurants on the walk. We stopped at both. While ...

Give this lady a bonus! The kind woman at the ticket counter was a big reason our day at Glungezerbahn was so special. Despite the fog and rain, we had the mountaintops to ourselves — a peaceful and magical experience made even better by her warm and welcoming service. Also, if you buy a round-trip lift ticket, you get free parking at P1 (right by the lift) — but don’t forget to scan your lift ti...

THEY CLOSE AT 5PM!! If you go up in the morning just make sure you’re back before 5pm or you might miss the last car. This was a super cool activity to do and great views from the top. Even better, it was free with the Innsbruck welcome card!! You can take the tram from Innsbruck to near the station and walk 10 minutes to get on the cable car. Highly recommend

The day I was there, there was a heavy snowfall and they had a problem getting the second gondola up, but they worked really hard and got it done. The ski resort is not as rich in slopes as the others in the area, but if you sleep somewhere nearby it is a pretty good solution for a leisure day of skiing or snowboarding, since the other ski resorts are on a 40-50 minute drive.
In winter, book ski passes and ski lessons early and pack layered clothing. In summer, bring sunscreen, plenty of water and explore disc golf near the middle station.
