It's an archaic place showing very old techniques and plants and ways on how to make a beautiful bell which is to sound well and look impressive for hundreds of years! They have what hardly anybody has: regular customers for hundreds of years 😊. Next to the workshop they show a very interesting exhibition including a beautiful video about how they make bells. Impressive and definitely worth a vis...

Cool bell foundry. We got into Innsbruck a little later than expected, but we had about 45 mins to check it out. Love the displays and movie, they have cast bells and other items for sale as well in a nice gift shop. We wish we had a little more time to spend and that we had arrived during shop hours to see the actual work. There are display bells and other items outside and you can ring many of t...

We had so much fun at the Bell Museum! It was included with our Innsbruck cards but we would have paid full price for the experience too. All the different ways to experience the sound of bells - through water, through your feet, around your head - and the sound rooms and harmony rooms were transformative. We learned so much and could have stayed there all day enjoying the bells!

When is the best time to visit Glockengießerei Grassmayr (Innsbruck, Austria)?

In summer the casting hall stays cool—great for hot days. In winter come for a warm indoor activity by the furnace. Check the monthly Groß-Guss event for free schnaps and extra fun.
