Axamer Lizum Ski Resort (couple trip)

Fantastic little resort. Lots of off piste to explore and some great long runs. Got very icy on one of the main runs late on in the day, this was a shame as the conditions were very good. The golden roof park is a lot of fun if you're into park riding.

Nice with kids seeing sheep and horses. We were with a 2years old kid in the hiking backpack. We took a round route and that was a bit difficult without hiking sticks. My husband had them but I didn’t. People with children they mostly take the short route just to get to the lake and see the horses also nice. I think my favorite place in Tirol. We could use the cable car for free with Innsbruck card. Not so crowded like other places. Great restaurant on top with amazing view!

Incredible place to hike! The free Welcome Card gets you all the way from the city centre to the top in about an hour. I couldn't find much about the trails online but rest assured there are plenty to choose from for all abilities. Fast and perfect cable car to reach the summit and slide on good snow! 3 weeks later, we came back and we have to say that the slopes are still perfectly prepared, we have to say a big bravo to the evening workers on their machines who prepare these slopes.
