Veriu Randwick (solo trip)

Staying due to having surgery and I’m from interstate so wasn’t looking for “high quality” just somewhere quite and comfortable until I could fly home. Reception was accomodating and helpful on check in. Rooms were cleanish. Balcony roof was falling down in more then 10 places so felt quite unsafe being outside. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. This so-called hotel is falsely advertised as a 4-star property on Google, which is incredibly misleading. The building is old and poorly repurposed, with little to no effort made to ensure comfort or cleanliness. Our room was dusty and infested with bed bugs — we saw them crawling on the pillows and blankets. The carpet was extremely worn and smelle...

The room was comfortable, mostly clean. The gentleman that greeted me was extremely polite and welcoming. The Veriu is close to everything and has impeccable security.

Nice enough rooms, easy on the eye, furnishing nothing special, but pretty comfortable, kitchenette well equipped. Huge drawback was the pigeons roosting on the window sills of the nextdoor building making noise and rooting all day and most of the night, and if you don't close the louvres on the balcony they will roost on the air-conditioning unit. Smelt clean but carpet was disgusting and looked like it was recycled from a pub it was so dirty and stained. Very dark room even with all lighting on. No streaming services available on the TV's. Not ideal if staying with a small child.
