Children enjoy surf school, fenced playground, North Bondi kids tidal pool and Pavilion craft classes, yet big surf, strong sun and scarce shade require close adult supervision.
Why 3-5 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Gives time to explore playground, pools, surf lesson, and a snack break without rushing.

Tip: Enter at low tide for gentler waves and swim between 9am–6pm when lifeguards are on duty.
Bondi Icebergs Ocean Pool:

Tip: Buy tickets online to skip the queue and use the family locker rooms for changing.

Tip: Book in advance, pack a towel and rash guard for sun protection.

My favorite spot to swim. I went there during the summer season, and it was my favorite place to swim. 🩵🤍🩵 The waves were really fun — perfect for swimming and playing. I really enjoyed them. The colors of the sea were like art. You’ll see what I mean if you go a little deeper into the water on a summer day💕

Another iconic Sydney place I’m happy I got to see in the off season. I’m told it’s insanely busy in the peak times. Beautiful beach and waters. Nice area to walk around in the paths which surround it.
