How Baby-Friendly is Blue Mountains National Park?

59%Baby-Friendly
View Map

What makes it 59% Baby-Friendly: Pram-friendly lookouts, cableway access and toilets exist, yet most trails have stairs, nursing rooms are absent and change tables appear only inside Scenic World, so visiting with an infant needs extra planning.

Positives:

  • Stroller Access: Use well-maintained paths at Echo Point, Three Sisters Walk, and Govetts Leap for easy stroller movement.
  • Baby-Friendly Facilities: Heritage Centre and Scenic World offer accessible toilets and baby-change spaces.
  • Flexible Stops: Picnic areas at Leura Cascades and Govetts Leap let you rest and feed your baby outdoors.

Challenges:

  • Limited Nursing Rooms: Most lookouts lack dedicated nursing areas. Bring a light blanket and change mat.
  • Variable Weather: Weather can change quickly. Carry extra layers and rain cover for the stroller.
  • Steep Sections: Some trails have steps or uneven surfaces. Check pram-friendliness before starting.
