Positives:

  • Close Wildlife Encounters: Shows and talks let you safely touch and feed snakes, crocodiles and koalas.
  • Compact Layout: Well-marked paths make it easy to move between attractions without long walks.

Challenges:

  • Limited Shade: Much of the park is open-air; plan breaks under trees or covered areas.
  • Crowded Shows: Popular weekend sessions fill up quickly; arrive early to secure seating.

It’s not a bad place, but it’s quite a bit lacking if you’re used to visiting animal sanctuaries and wildlife parks in other countries, where you might get more value for money. It’s good, but not the kind of place you’d want to keep returning to (at least not at the current price point) However, they have nice, cute, docile kangaroos hopping around the place eager for some pats.

Had a great day at the Australian Reptile Park! So much to see and do, with ample covered space to have a picnic. Wide variety of reptiles not usually displayed at other zoos. Loved feeding kangaroos, and joining the komodo dragon on a daily walk. Keeper talks were informative and fun. Keeper Mick is a gem!!

We spent a good few hours exploring the park at a leisurely pace. A variety of animals from reptiles, arachnids, amphibians to cuddly koalas and kangaroos. Keepers were friendly and happy to answer any questions my girls had. The reptile show was interesting and my girls got to touch some of the snakes and lizards they brought out. I enjoyed seeing (Hugo?) the Galapagos Island Tortoise go for a...

Great experience! The staff were lovely and clearly passionate about their conservation work — it was amazing to see it up close. Really interactive for kids, with lots of fun animal statues and displays around the park. The chips at the café were also surprisingly great! Definitely worth a visit.
