River Sands Apartments (solo trip)

Lovely location just opposite the Maroochy River , Craig the manager was fantastic , very friendly & helpful , older style units which were well equiped , clean & tidy

If I could give this place a 0 I would! When booking few weeks ago we rang and asked for a room with 2 beds as we have young children, person we spoke to said that was no problem. When we arrived we had a 1 bedroom room with a pull out couch. We pulled the couch out to check out the bed and the mattress on the pull out bed is actually VERY DANGEROUS. Springs poking though, you can’t even sit on it...

This place is not worth the price they put on it. Room was tiny, chipped paint everywhere, road noise very loud, even with door closed. The bathroom was minuscule with a very narrow bath with sides so high you'd need a stepladder to climb in. Don't expect a clean room! Level of cleaning was disgusting, dust motes hang from the ceilings in every room, the walls are covered in a thick gravity defying layer of dust, many old hand prints & marks that could be removed if cleaned properly. My experience at this accommodation was excellent. The easy check-in process, even outside regular hours, was a plus. The room offered a homely feel, complete with board games and books, adding a cozy touch to the stay.
