Altitude on Montville (solo trip)

We were absolutely blown away by the super accomodating service here during our function. We could not recommend this place enough to anyone looking for an above and beyond experience with outstanding service in a beautiful venue.

Altitude is presented online as luxury. In its day, probably was. Unfortunately, the service and cleanliness make rooms grubby and venue tired. Restaurant only operates limited times, no daily access for breakfast. No lux extras as advertised. Considerable road noise. Not value as compared to other local accommodation.

Stayed here for two days for my wedding. We received a call a few days before the booking to say that a fire had occurred in the fire place but it was covered over. The venue provided us with a reasonable discount as they had no other rooms available however, when we arrived the whole external wall onto the balcony had been damaged and was plastic sheeted. This place used to be nice but it has been neglected over the years and is now a grubby, uncomfortable dump. We had a two bed ‘superior room with ocean views’ - we could barely see anything as the shutter on the verandah was broken so we couldn’t actually open it fully. The double room was great - spacious, clean and modern. Particularly the walk in shower and the spa. Comfy bed. Only downsides were that the room was quite dark, so difficult to get ready in, and the reception service was not very friendly or helpful. I also think they should have more of a connection with Montvale when you have wedding guests stay there to make it easier for them, such as earlier...
