What makes it 61% Baby-Friendly: Parents with babies find flat lawns, deep shade and stroller-friendly paths, yet there is no nursing room, no confirmed change table and only standard toilets, so plan for short, self-reliant visits.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for a relaxed picnic, stroller stroll and rest without tiring your baby.
Shaded Picnic:
Settle at the benches under the century-old fig trees for feeding and play time.
Tip: Bring a portable change mat and your own snacks; tables are first-come, first-served.
Stroller-Friendly Walk:
Push along the flat grassy lawns beneath the fig-tree canopy.
Tip: Avoid wet grass after rain and lock stroller brakes on slight slopes.
On-site Toilets & Nearby Cafes:
Use the park’s unisex toilets or step across King Street for cafés with baby facilities.
Tip: Carry hand sanitizer and check café doors for parents’ rooms before entering.

Beautiful historic spot, but is yelling out for some attention for a tidy up. This has real potential, as the incredible old trees don’t need much.

Ancient trees. Seats underneath. Some play equipment for the kids. Shady, cool spot to sit and spend a bit of time in nature right on the main road - King St. Could do with a bit of a tidy up. Across the road a variety of shops.

Quiet park at the top of Buderim. Has a beautiful row of large fig trees. Has a playground area for kids and toilet block available. Not fully fenced. Ideal location for wedding and photo shoots. Walk across the road for bakery. Easy parking available in Short Street.

Very old park with massive fig trees lining each side. The park is only small and has a small playground. The toilets are reasonably clean and functional. There is plenty of parking and accessibility for the disabled. However I am not sure if the park would be traversable by wheelchair. There are shops and cafes across the road within walking distance of the park.
Emily Cameron
A beautiful park with big fig trees. Also has a toilet block, playground and picnic benches.
In summer (Dec–Feb), visit before 10 am to stay in cool shade. Bring sun protection and refillable water. After rain, grass can be slippery—choose a drier day.
