Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct (with baby)

A group of 20+ people attended Sunny Coast Recreation Precinct for a t1d camp. The instructors were amazing, Dory and Bruce the Shark were our main instructors and made the activities so fun and enjoyable. Mario and Mushu were also amazingly helpful when they joined in on body boarding and canoeing. Overall the camp was clean and well facilitating with amazingly friendly staff.

Myself and a group from church stayed for two nights at the camp from the 11th to the 13th of July. The facility itself was clean and well maintained. The elderly gentleman who welcomed us in the dining area on the first day was especially warm and polite, which we really appreciated. I went here for my year six camp, the staff where all lovely and the cabins where nice but the mattresses and beds where not nice as they creaked if you moved. The food was really bad and let the camp down, there sweet food was so good but their savoury food was bad, on the first night we had roast chicken which was as hard as a rock, literally. Lovely location, facilities, and staff, but it's almost impossible to sleep well here. The outdoor lights are on throughout the grounds all night long and are super bright, and there's no way to black out the windows in the rooms. As a result, the rooms are full of bright light all night. If you visit, make sure you and everyone in your group bring eyeshades if you want to sleep, but good luck get...

Had a great long weekend with a group of fellow crafters. Facilities and food are top notch. Not that I have a disability but the whole venue is beautifully suited to wheelchair access. Spent a lovely time watching 3 seven day old Plover chicks scamper around the buildings under the watchful eye of their parents. Nothing beats going to sleep each night to the sound of the ocean.
