What makes it 74% Kids-Friendly: Homeschool discos, birthday packages, skate-mate aids and floor guards cater well for 5–12s; free parent entry helps budgets, but slippery surface and few seats need vigilant adult oversight.
Why 2–3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows for a full skate session, practice time, a snack break and gear fitting without rushing.
Friday Night Disco Skate:
Skate under disco lights with a live DJ and family-friendly music.
Tip: Book tickets online and arrive 15 minutes early to fit skates and wrist-guards.
Mid-Week Public Skate:
Enjoy a quieter rink session ideal for beginners and kids learning balance.
Tip: Rent Skate-Mate trainers and use free wrist-guards for extra support.
Family Pass (Ice Season):
Save on entry for 2 adults and 2 kids during ice-rink months (late Nov–Jan).
Tip: Call ahead to confirm ice conversion dates and include blade hire.

It gets too overcrowded now. Too many people not enough space the amount of times I have seen people get swerved into or have domino effect-like falls because of how little space there is is insane. If it gets that busy maybe they should have another rink- maybe even an Ice rink year round, I know plenty of people who wish to do figureskating but can‘t because the closest ice rink is in boondall.

First time visitors. Very impressed with the facility and level of service. We were very much amateurs but staff were exceptional in making sure we had an amazing time and we were safe. Thankyou.
In summer (late Nov–Jan) the rink converts to ice—book early to secure a family pass. In cooler months stick to roller-skating gear and avoid peak holiday weekends.
