Starwest Apartments Alderney on Hay (couple trip)

Decent sized with laundry included, also came with an indoor swimming pool and gym, pretty good value. Internet was very slow and unreliable, reception only opened for 1-2 hours in the morning even though was told operational from 8-12 during the week. Room servicing was only available once a week.

Room was fine, spacious but outdated, strange marks and stains on walls and furniture but for cheap accommodation not bad. Room key only worked for one elevator, don't bother taking the stairs as the stairwell is locked from the outside meaning you can get in but not out (yup that's illegal).Luckily someone left maintenance door ajar so I wasn't stuck their all day. Clean, good location and value for money. We stayed there for 10 nights, location is good, short walk to the river and around 1.5km to the Bell Tower/Elizabeth Quay. Apartment is self-contained and clean. The gym equipment is not great, some broken and some very old. The reception is only open 8am-12pm, so it makes it a bit hard if you need them.

Had the best sleep! The rooms and location is really quiet. I had a solid 9 hour sleep and I am a really light sleeper. The apartment was large and comfortable and had great features such as balcony, really great shower (with shampoo, conditioner and body wash). The bathroom even had shaving cream. Stayed here for one night and found the apartment to be a little older but it was spacious and clean. Checking was a little challenging because lobby and desk were closed due to it being a public holiday. Great location and fantastic heated pool and recently renovated pool area and gym. The kids loved it. Room had everything you would need for a short or long term stay. Would definately stay there...
