Joined the "Walk for Reconciliation" around Galup today. The turnout was amazing and I felt privileged to be there. It was also a nostalgia trip as my family lived in Glendalough for a time. My dad walked our two dogs around the lake everyday, come rain and shine. Today he was with me there in spirit I'm sure. It was a beautiful walk.

It is a great park and nature area. There is a good path to walk, run, or ride around the lake. Great place to see birds of various kinds. Wonderful views out over the water and with the city in the background. Lovely open grassed spaces for picnics and games... family time, friend catch ups, or simply to unwind, relax, and breathe a bit.

In summer, start before 8 am to avoid heat. Spring mornings offer peak bird activity. Wintry afternoons can be windy, so pack a light jacket.
