Many carparks, some seating spotted around the place. Great spots for a picnic. Some walking markers are missing but a good walk, just remember it's called the goat walk. Great views, would be outstanding in winter with the water gushing.

I visited recently in spring, hoping to catch the waterfalls — sadly they were dry, but the scenery was still absolutely beautiful. We wandered along the river and decided to take the 3km trail… and oh my god, about one-third of it is steep! I definitely wasn’t prepared for that. You’ll need a decent level of fitness, and if you go during the day, be ready for the heat — it can get scorching. I’...

Bells Rapids in Perth is a stunning natural spot where the Swan River cascades over rocky outcrops, creating a picturesque setting that’s especially popular during winter when the water flow is strong. It’s a favorite for picnics, bushwalks, and enjoying sweeping views of the river and surrounding hills, with trails that suit both casual walkers and more adventurous hikers. The area is also well-k...

Such a beautiful place to visit. There was even a couple having wedding photos taken. It had rained the week before so the water was flowing & the water gurgling. Great place for a picnic or for taking in one of the walk options. The toilets were clean & tidy, accessible via stairs or a stroller/wheelchair friendly ramp. There was a coffee / ice cream van there the day we visited :)

A hidden gem less than 30 mins from the city. The secret is to visit after rainy season when the river is really flowing. This place has stunning views. Plenty of parking available although it is all on mud. The end road bit is also not sealed and can be very narrow at a few points. There were literally hundreds of cars and people when we visited on a sunny winter Saturday in August. It is a beau...

In winter and spring (June–November), wildflowers bloom and kangaroos graze close to paths. In summer, low rapids form shallow pools ideal for splashing. In August, watch the Avon Descent race from the bridge.
