Araluen Botanic Park (with kids)

We visited Araluen Botanic Park one week ago and absolutely loved it. The gardens are in full spring bloom right now, endless tulips and spring bulbs everywhere you look and it’s breathtaking. It’s their Springtime Tulip Festival season, with hundreds of thousands of tulips planted across the hillsides, and you can really feel the festival atmosphere. Great day out especially in spring with lots of tulips and flowering plants to see and enjoy. Gets very busy though. Great entertainment (live music) and lots of food truck and coffee vans down on the main lawn area. Went to see the Tulip Festival at Araluen. They seem to get their act together this year. I would be as bold as to say 100% improvement on last year. I am disabled and I was able to park at the entrance and enter the park to see the main Tulip displays. Stunning park experience, I went first day of the tulip festival. While the tulips were a little shy, all the other bulbs like the daffodils, jonquils, hyacinths and lilacs were out in full bloom with their beautiful aroma. A showcase of incredible varieties of azaleas, camellias and many others.

Lovely gardens however tulips not blooming yet. Attended 26/08/25 and with the rainy weather many of the tulips were yet to bloom but still got to see some. Also saw lots of daffodils, camellias and irises. The roses are mostly pruned during the winter. Friendly staff, very quiet and peaceful.
