Absolutely loved my stay at YHA Melbourne Central. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city with easy access to public transport, great cafes, and all the main attractions. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, which made it easy to meet other travellers. The staff were genuinely helpful and always happy to share local tips. The rooftop area was one of my favourite spots, ideal fo...

Don’t stay here!! The hostel is an old building with poor sound insulation and is situated right next to a major train line. I didn’t sleep both nights as it was soooooooo loud. The sound of the trains could even be heard through my ear plugs. The rooms themselves were also very cold in winter and it was hard to stay warm.

Great location, need to be careful of cost if a couple hotels are a better option and some times a lot cheaper, room was freezing when I first checked in took about 3hrs to heat. They don't accept cash!!! so I would not stay again. The Victoria Hotel & The Western are good alternatives. The stay overall was good.

I will come back here for another stay if I come to Melbourne again. The location is great, near the city but not so noisy and busy. A free tram station right in front, it is easy to go anywhere.
