Causeway 353 Hotel (couple trip)

We enjoyed our stay at 353 Causeway. The staff were particularly friendly and would go out of their way to be helpful. We were close to everything we wanted, the shopping, transport etc. While the hotel is compact with no views it has everything you need for a short stay - along with a great strength shower and great sized towels - a must after a busy day!

The Causeway 353 is in a fantastic location and very reasonably priced. The staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful and at no stage did I have any problems with my room or other facilities I used. It was very quiet in the room and the bed was large and comfortable. The room was a little tired, fraying carpets and the enamel was peeling in the sink, but nothing too dramatic at this price point...

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. It’s central and convenient for exploring Melbourne. Unfortunately, everything else was below standard. The key cards constantly stopped working, both for the lifts and the rooms. We had to get them reactivated almost every day during our 5-night stay. We stayed 3 nights. The room was tidy but the pillow had stains on it and had to be replaced. The access cards had to be replaced twice as it wouldn't let us into the room which meant trips back down to reception. I've stayed here a few times now and have an enjoyable stay every time. I find the rooms to be clean, quiet and the hotel is well priced and very centrally located. The hotel gym is small, but it has a lat pulldown & row machine, plus a multi-function dual cable machine - and between those two, does everything I need for a quick hotel workout with weights.
