Stroller-friendly esplanade, shade lawns and toddler pool support infants; no dedicated nursing room and only communal change areas require advance planning with the venue.
Why 3-4 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for shallow swims, shaded breaks, and a relaxed stroller walk without rushing the baby.
Safe Shallow Swimming:

Enjoy a separate shallow pool and hydrotherapy area right next to the beach.
Tip: Purchase tickets online to skip the queue and pack aqua nappies for your baby.
Shaded Picnic Spots:
Foreshore picnic tables and grassy lawns under mature trees.
Tip: Arrive before 11 am to secure a table; bring a lightweight blanket and easy-to-serve snacks.
Esplanade Stroller Walk:
Flat paved path from town center to the pier for pram-friendly strolls.
Tip: Use the beach-access matting (Jan–Apr) for smoother wheels and stop at Grove Road Café for a quick coffee.

Had a really great day at this beach. It has a nice play area for the kids and plenty of spots for bbq. There are toilets too.

A beautiful town with an amazing beach. Very nice place to have picnics (just be careful of the cockatoos) and a good stroll with your dogs. They provide plastic bags for your dog's poop, and I find that very considerate for the community.
