What makes it 70% Baby-Friendly: Boardwalks accept prams and infants enter free, yet no confirmed nursing or change room plus long outdoor stretches may require planning breaks, so carers find it good but less effortless than for older kids.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time to walk both boardwalk loops, visit the Visitor Centre, and have a snack without rushing with a baby.
Pram-Friendly Boardwalk Trails:
Two raised loops through eucalyptus to see koalas in treetops.
Tip: Use the gentle ramps and pause at viewing platforms when baby needs a break.
Visitor Centre:
Indoor area with interactive displays and seating.
Tip: Feed or change your baby in a quieter corner; ask staff for assistance.
Native Seed Station:
Free station to pick a local gum seed to take home.
Tip: Let your baby watch you select seeds from the pram for a calm break.
Manna Gum Café:
Café with coffee, snacks and a kid-friendly menu.
Tip: Request a high chair and enjoy forest views from outdoor seating.

Koala Conservation Reserve provides a wealth of interesting information about koalas. The koalas live in very natural environments, mostly sleeping high up in the trees. Our group was very lucky to spot one resting on the timber, and we enjoyed a wonderful show featuring this super cute koala!

Great Visit with Kids – Up Close with Koalas! 🐨🌿 We had a wonderful time visiting the Koala Conservation Reserve. It was very easy and convenient to navigate with kids, with well-marked paths and elevated boardwalks through the bushland. The kids especially enjoyed spotting koalas up close in their natural habitat—we even saw a couple of them moving around, which was a real bonus! The visitor ...

Amazing little wildlife reserve. Im so glad we visited this place. I absolutely loved koalas when I was a wee one. So this really made my day to get to see them so up close. They were just feet away in their natural habitats. There were other animals as well. Such a lovely time.

This is a lovely koala reserve where you can get a close-up view of these adorable creatures. It’s conveniently located on your way to the Penguin Parade. We were fortunate enough to witness one of the outgoing koalas decide to climb up the fence and pose for photos for the visitors! Only shame was the cashier was out of order due to electricity so we couldn’t purchase any souvenirs.
In summer, arrive early to beat the heat; in cooler months koalas are more active and easier to spot.
