Babies enter free and pram-friendly gravel makes strolling easy, yet no confirmed nursing room and sudden loud farm shows may upset infants, so carers should plan quiet breaks.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for farm demos, a loop walk, and a café break at the baby’s pace.
Heritage Farm demonstrations:
Watch blacksmithing, cow milking, and sheep shearing at set times throughout the day.
Tip: Visit the sheep shearing at 2:30 pm from the marked pram parking area for a clear view.
Churchill Island loop walk:
Follow the 4.5 km trail around the island for coastal views and birdwatching.
Tip: Start with the 2 km North Point loop for a shorter, flatter pram-friendly route.
Wagon rides:
Hop on a farm wagon on weekends and holidays for a gentle island tour.
Tip: Check weather and bring a blanket for your baby seat; weekends only.
Farmhouse Kitchen café:
Enjoy coffee and lunch with bay views in pram-accessible seating.
Tip: Arrive before midday to secure a high chair and a table by the window.
Digital heritage trail:
Use a smartphone app to follow self-guided puzzles around the farm.
Tip: Download the trail map on Wi-Fi before you arrive to avoid data charges.

I’ve never been to Churchill Island before so it was a new experience for me. I really loved walking through the farm house and seeing all the old stuff throughout the Island! I thought it was super interesting that the wallpaper of one of the bedrooms had Humpty Dumpty and other nursery rhymes plastered all over it. An interesting island as such. Lunch in the cafe was chaos with so many people and not enough staff. Our meal was good as was the coffee when it eventually arrived. We went to the heritage farming area and old house ... wouldn't bother unless you have children or like old houses ( no different from others). Could drive in have a look and go... There are walks to do.

Located a bit before Philip Island, the detour is worth it ! We went there during the july month and nobody was there, it really felt like heaven as it was so quiet and peaceful. You can also assist a few attractions related to the farms which can be great especially for children.

We had wonderful experience with visiting your attraction. We found this very informative, learning about the history of farming in the area The staff was also very helpful with the booking and helpful information. We also had a small snack in the restaurant which was made fresh.

It was amazing, almost like stepping into a time machine and going back 70 years. The farm activities are very well organised and the cafe serves delicious food. A great place to connect with your inner farmer and learn a thing or two about few basic things that go around
