Cairns Harbourside Hotel (with kids)

Stayed for a week long seminar. Lovely room with a great outlook. Staff were fabulous and always helpful. Great meals. Everything felt light and fresh. Convenient location. I would definitely stay again.

I stayed for 7nights at the Cairns Harbourside Hotel (some of the days was for a seminar). I found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and accommodating with requests. The hotel is close to most facilities. Only downside for me was the shower being in the bathtub. (The hotel did provide rubber safety mats, which helped) Also the toilets are low. I was only here for 2 nights but everything was great! Booked a room with an ocean view and got some of that. It was so beautiful walking into my room and seeing the palm tree leaves right outside the window. Loved having the balcony to decompress after sightseeing. Right next to the boardwalk which is where I spent most of my time. Comfy beds. Spacious too! As a solo traveller I felt safe inside ...

I don't often get my expectations exceeded at hotels, but this one definitely did it. The room was very clean and had a great view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I absolutely loved that there were different firmness/thickness of pillows to choose from on the bed. The bed itself was also one of the best I've had in a hotel. Would have been extra special if more rooms were available with a choice of multiple beds that also had the choice for a walkin shower as well. I found it a struggle in navigating to the shower being over a bath tub with my disability. Lovely staff and comfortable stay otherwise.
